Our Inspiration
It all began in a little garden ten years ago. Inspired by a love of natural essential oils, this brand began and continues to be, rooted in fragrance.
As it grew and evolved, our products branched out beyond what we can smell and into what we can see and touch, but more importantly, how it makes us feel.
Chemistry became part of our foundation as we pursued natural alternatives for skincare and haircare that are effective and restorative for our mind and bodies.
Aurora Ellen makes a promise to put the environment and the consumer first. You will always know what you are putting on your body and can make an informed choice.

Our Story
Aurora officially began her education in in the world of beauty at just thirteen years old by studying with a local perfumer in Seattle, Washington. She then traveled to California to study with Mandy Aftel three years later to continue her education in natural perfume.
She became certified to teach using the “Slow Scent” method by Mandy Aftel and taught multiple perfume classes in Issaquah, Washington. She also used her knowledge of cosmetics to teach classes on making custom lotion bars and sugar scrubs.
At sixteen, she started selling her own cosmetic products in addition to perfume. She is currently pursuing her MA in Chemistry and working full time in a chemical senses lab.
Over the years she has sold at farmer’s markets and online via Etsy. Her favorite thing to make are custom perfumes or colognes one on one with clients.
